ALBUM OUT NOW !!! “THE GESTALT”
STRUKTURSTRUKTUR are Vincent Rigling [g, fx], Leander Schöpfer [b, fx, sampler] and Simon Scherrer [dr, fx]. The band is based in Lucerne since 2022.
Using their instruments, enhanced with effects and samplers, they explore their own sonic aesthetic: linear, repetitive patterns with minimal variations, gentle, ambient-like interludes, and energetic outbursts into thunderous waves of sound are all part of their sound. With sonic references to industrial and post-punk, their experimental pieces appeal to a wide audience and allow them to perform in a wide variety of settings.
The trio works with loose and flexible song structures, within which they improvise and shape their music. Their songs are regularly reworked, deconstructed, adapted and reconstructed, leading to great flexibility and agility in their performance. Through their repertoire and interplay, developed over the years, the band has acquired a specific vocabulary and a collective consciousness. The result is tightly played and catchy sets, defined by rhythmic precision and profound sonic clarity, as well as mesmerising energy and concentration.
